Construction Zone for Kids: Monday, March 23, from 10:00 to 6:00 pm
We supply the building blocks, YOU supply the imagination! This STEM activity is available all day long. We have several types of blocks and put- together toys we pull out for the day. Children and their parents/grandparents/ babysitters are invited to come in anytime of the day and play with these cool toys.
World Poetry Day Celebration: March 21st, starting at 10:30 to 2:30 pm
The library would like to celebrate by inviting all lovers of poetry, regardless of age, to stop and share a favorite poem, either from a book or one they have written. Or just come in and have a snack while listening to others reading poetry. The fun will start at 10:30 am and there will be coffee, juice, and cookies provided by the Corry & Warren Manor. Please sign up on our Facebook Event or at the library ahead of time so we can get an idea of attendance.
Learn to Play Cribbage: Wednesday, March 18th, All Day!
Pair, Crib, Fifteen, Nobbs, Skunk, Flush, Hand, Thirty-one, these are just some of the fun terms you will learn when you play a game of Cribbage, a board game that has been around since the 1600’s. Learn how to play the game or just stop in to play anytime during library hours, 10 to 7pm. There will be cribbage boards at the library but bring your own if you want to!
Movie Day: Saturday, March 14th, at 1:00 pm
Once a month we host a family friendly movie for kids and their caregivers to enjoy together. Popcorn is provided by Sugar Grove Beverage. This month in honor of Saint Patrick's Day we thought we would show something green, no, not the Hulk.... SHREK!
Movie Night for Adults: Wednesday, March 11, at 5:00 pm
We can’t let the kids have all the fun! This month we are adding a movie night for the adults. We will show an old fashioned comedy, "Arsenic and Old Lace" and provide popcorn. Early matinee showing at 1:00 pm.
Story Hour: Monday, March 16, at 11:00 am
Our story hour is geared toward pre-school and early elementary age children, but all are welcome. Story hour consists of a few fun short story books, maybe a song, and a simple craft.
Lit Wit Book Club: Monday, March 30, at 6:30 pm
The Book Club meets the last Monday of each month at 6:30 pm. Every meeting is lead by a different member who selects a book to discuss, leads the discussion, and brings a treat to the meeting. “The Librarian of Ausschwitz” by Antonio Ituribe is this month’s book. New members are always welcome. Contact the library if you would like to learn more about this fun group.
Blood Pressure Screening: Wednesday, March 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
LIFE-NWPA will host an Easter Centerpiece class on Wednesday March 25, from 2-4 pm. Come join Katie from LIFE-NWPA to make a simple and fun centerpiece to help decorate for Easter and learn about the LIFE program all at the same time. Craft project is limited to the first 10 people to stop by.
